As some of you have noticed, I have opened up a couple of channels for advertising on this blog. First of all, why would you advertise on this blog? Well, at the moment, the blog has:
- A Page Rank of 5
- An Alexa rank of 143,234
- More than 600 posts
- About 700 pages indexed in Google
- More than 250 RSS subscribers
- 44,100 incoming links, according to Yahoo.com
The blog is also listed in the Yahoo! directory.
With the current redesign, thing will become even better.
The blog receives about 30,000 unique hits a month, making for 50,000 page views a month. Traffic is evenly distributed between search engines, referrals and direct.
If you are looking for exposure for your blog, website, company or product, this is the ideal place to advertise.
I can offer three main types of ad:
The first is a text link in the sidebar. At $20 a month, this is the only way you can have an outgoing, sitewide link on my blog. There are 10 spots available on a first-come, first-served basis.
I also have up to eight spaces for 125×125 banners. The banners will be rotated and appear in the sidebar above the links. You must supply your own creative, unless you want me to hash one up for you. The price of a banner is $40 a month.
If you have a website or blog related to Thailand, travel or something that my readers and I will find interesting, I offer a paid review service. The price is $100 and you will receive an in-depth analysis of your website or blog that will stay as my top story for 24 hours. The review will contain up to three links with anchor texts of your choosing. Reviews will be at least 350 words long and contain screenshots. I have previously written blog-and-website reviews for JohnCow.com. A paid review is the perfect way to gain exposure for your website or blog.
I am also open for discussion on long-term or permanent footer links, as well as any other ad placements you may have in mind.

My name is Matt and I’m the author of this blog. I first traveled to Thailand in 2005 and started working in Bangkok. My time in Thailand has been spent mostly working, often writing and occasionally traveling around Thailand's islands or other points of interest. I now live in Phuket, Southern Thailand. I plan to stay in Thailand for as long as the buzz is still there. I'm a writer and editor, working for a Phuket newspaper and freelancing for various publications. Thailand is my home, for now, and no, I'm not just another expat loser ...
