Another day of ice-cream excitement in Thailand
It’s been a week of nothing but ice -cream bonanzas. Apart from the discovery of Thailand’s revered ice cream hot dogs, yesterday I ate a Cornetto and today I was treated to deep fried ice cream! It was fantastic.

If you’re from the UK then at some point you have probably come across deep fried Mars bars, which remain delicious no matter how disgusting the overall concept is. Deep fried ice cream is a whole another level.
How they make deep fried ice cream without it melting will forever be a mystery to me, but I have far more positive feelings towards this than I do ice cream sandwiches with peanuts.
The whole thing looked like a Scotch egg, which partially spoiled the eating experience. I couldn’t get the thought of Scotch eggs out of my head, so this confused my senses and left me feeling a little unfulfilled.
I’ve been working pretty much solidly since Friday and so my weekend posting has thus far been limited to ice cream experiences. I did find Phuket’s answer to Bed Supperclub last night, and I will post about that tomorrow.

we have it also in Kuala Lumpur …yummy ..ice cream is great and i will normally have my ice cream session on Friday.
I love Thai icecream in any form. But I've heard that coconut icecream is very fattening. I haven't tried deep fried icecream yet, I better go out and try it right away.
Thanks, but I will stick to Swensens. My wife said she used to love ice cream sandwiches with sticky rice when she was a kid and it was much more common then (20 odd years ago). Can't beat the Swensens 59 Chocolate…
I'm with you on Swensens. Will check out Chen Long Gung Kata too.
