Reasons not to use the Agloco viewbar

Yes, I was wrong. Agloco is a waste of time. All those of you who told me so were right and I should have listened, but heck, what’s the sense in not trying? I uninstalled the Agloco viewbar because after a week because it’s not going to make me any money, and the only reason why anyone would use it or have anything to do with it is to make money online. I’ll explain why in a minute. Here are my reasons why you don’t need the Agloco viewbar.

  1. It has no functionality: It doesn’t do anything useful. Six months in the labs created a completely redundant viewbar. Agloco should be ashamed of themselves for not giving people a real reason to have their viewbar. As it is, the only reason why you would want the viewbar would be if you were going to make money from it, but that’s not likely to happen from actually using it. The only way to make money is to have a huge network of people, but these people are going to figure out that they don’t want to use the viewbar either. All Agloco’s viewbar offers is a search function.
  2. It wastes space on your monitor: You can’t integrate the viewbar into a browser window. This means it has to sit at the top or bottom of your screen. It doesn’t hide itself when you navigate away from the internet, and it’s just plain annoying.
  3. It’s ugly: The ads come in the form of simple text links. They aren’t even banners. It looks cheap, has limited skins and you can’t get away from it.
  4. Nobody is using it: After all the effort John Chow put into promoting Agloco, nobody is using it. Not a single one of my referrals installed it, and yet Agloco’s website has me in the top 20% of all Agloco users. How is that possible? After Agloco finally launched the viewbar their website received only 15,000 hits. That’s pathetic when you consider they planned to get 50,000 new installments a day.
  5. You won’t make any money: Revenue from Agloco does not immediately transfer into cash. This fact was revealed late into the six-month viewbar development period. Agloco promised the world that its members would get paid to surf, and then they turned around and said they wouldn’t. Go figure.
  6. Agloco’s website is unstable: Too many times I have not been able to access their homepage. This means that getting new people to sign up can be difficult. It also seems that they weren’t ready for their own viewbar’s launch. Shame on them, once again.
  7. What were they doing for six months?: Agloco were behind AllAdvantage, a similar scheme, so they cannot have spent six months developing a flash new viewbar. Evidently they didn’t, as the thing they eventually came out with is a waste of space. Six months of delays make Agloco look like a brand not to be trusted.

I’ve seen the light and I would now recommend that none of my reader’s even consider using Agloco. Peter, Roger, you are wiser men than I.

One Response to Reasons not to use the Agloco viewbar

  1. Roger says:

    nonono, not wiser, just older!

I remember 6 years ago installing a similar tool on my laptop, some Gator-whatever thingy. Not only useless but a nightmare to remove!

There is a redundancy of these tools as there is a redundancy of Social Networks . I don't know you but I receive every week some invitation to join a social network of some kind. I dutifully refuse them.

My network is email and MSN based (though Yahoo is much better).

    Have a good time!
