Lack of sleep
It's been a busy couple of weeks of me. The past few days have been spent partly working on a new website called Timor Today. It's going to launch later today and I think it will be something really useful for the future of the media in Timor. The only issue with it at the moment is that it's part English, part Tetun. I will need to create different versions for each language, but for the time being I think it's pretty cool.
There isn't enough use of the Internet by local media in Timor-Leste. What use there is doesn't fully utilize the medium. I want to train people to use this new website as soon as possible so that it serves its purpose.
I have also been working on a number of stories. I will be filing a couple today. In the meantime, it's close to 7 am and I didn't really sleep much last night, so I don't have much to add… except, of course, for this video of the best cat ever.

it is probably too late but if you are using a CMS like Joomla or Drupal they come up with multi-language support meaning that your viewer can see your site in english or in theor language for the navigation and if article are in two different language readers can switch from one to the other. You would still have to write two versions of the article but only one site!
Is that a dog cat? Or cat dog? The video is either Chinese or Japanese. And the cat looks like some anime character.
Take a look at this and tell me there isn't a conspiracy to turn the world into cartoon characters.

Timor is a tough place to carve out a life. Less competition than Thailand. Less gratification too. But better chances for success I guess. Good luck there.
