So I went down to Sony BMG today to interview Thailand’s newest pop-sensation ’Venus Flytrap’. I was in an edgy mood because I had only recently drunk a very strong cup of coffee (I rarely drink coffee) and it had sent me a little off-the-rails. As soon as I had drunk it I was short of breath and then my hands started shaking. I think it’s a sad day when you drink a cup of coffee and that happens to you. I’m not sure what I have become.

The girls (I will call them ‘girls’ because that is how they refer to themselves) were fabulous and a pleasure to interview. I chatted with all five of them for around an hour. They had a lot to say and had some really interesting comments to make. The interview was very jovial and also very candid.

They even sang for me (which I have on my Dictaphone). You can judge for yourself how they look from the pictures. They are playing a gig at Route 66 next Monday. They can actually sing rather well.The interview is due for publication in Hype next month and in an in-flight magazine some time after that. I’m hoping the story will get picked up in the UK but even if it doesn’t it will still be published here.
