Old-timers set to rock Bangkok

Bangkok has an interesting music scene. From one month to the next you never know which international act is going to be flying in. On February 1 it's the turn of Simply Red. I don't have a lot to say about Simply Red. I'm not much a fan, but played by panpipes, Simply Red's music makes for great company in an elevator.
As if that weren't enough, bloody Rod Steward is scheduled to play on March 4. How exciting is that?
Both of these monumental gigs will be at IMPACT Arena.

ahhh my dear lost boy …. it appears u have lost your way in commenting on different genres of music . now dont get me wrong i usually agree with u on all aspects of music . usually because u r normally trying to defend D.J.s and their style off music. and me being a dj of 20+ years , tend to agree with u . however,now feel age is coming over experience.i'm sorry but i regard simply red as quite a good soulful band with a guy who can do better than most at holding a tune. as for rod stuart ….. there's no arguing the guys talent. yes these dudes may be a bit old in your eyes and there fore could not possibly be worth watching . however i can appreciate the musical content and the quality of singing that these guys have to offer . dont right off the old dudes dude !!! dont forget half the ex pats i BBK r 40+!!!
not meaning to have a go at yer. i was just surprised at your un-objectivness….
keep up the good work and try not to get followed so often .
p.s. i'm heading to phuket for a year and i'm thinking of hitting club lime with my d.j.skills !!

Oh don't get me wrong. I have two Simply Red albums on tape. And I thought Fairground was a pretty good song. But I just never saw Simply Red as exception — they were always just "all right", ya know.
As for Rod Stewart. I'm definitely not a fan.

The Rod Stewart concert in Bangkok was a class act!
A pity about the encore though… a pity he ended with the concert with that awful 'Sailing'.
But I had a grand time anyway.
