Three bombs in Pattaya?
Can anyone confirm or counter the claim that there were three bombs in Pattaya? I suspect that this may be a mistake as I can’t find any reference to it anywhere, but I don’t have any contacts in Sin City that I could call up right now. The rumour is that this has been kept under wraps for one reason or another. I don’t want to say it’s true because in all likelihood it probably isn’t.
Addendum: I didn’t realise that before I left the house today I had left this as a private post. It’s a few hours later now and there is no online reference to any bombs in Pattaya so I assume this is not true.
Next-day addendum: From Bangkok Pundit who got it from the Thai Rath Thai language newspaper:
Authorities in Pattaya say that a bomb was found before it exploded in Pattaya. The location was near the Central Festival on Pattaya North Road. They found a Ammonium Nitrate Fuel Oil (ANFO) bomb in the bushes which was set to go off at 00:01. Large numbers of nails were found in the bomb device. As many tourists were in the area, the New Year’s Eve celebrations were immediately called.

Matt this might be true.
I’ve heard from another police source (It seems all my friends goes out with girls whose dad’s are police officers) that there were 30 devices. However only those who harmed people has be mentioned
I said nothing about that because it was looking like a rumor but then I just read this on Bangkok Pundit.
So, for any other devices which did not blow off, they won’t advertise this.
It might well be true…
