Red Bull banned in UK school
An English secondary school has banned its students from drinking Red Bull because it affects students’ behavior. Apparently, students at Chatsmore Catholic High Secondary School in West Sussex have been acting strangely after consuming the high-caffeine drink.
There’s no word exactly how it has been affecting students’ behavior, but Red Bull is being treated as if it is a hard drug. I think this is something of an overreaction. Thai taxi drivers drink Red Bull or the equivalent on a daily basis – and they’re model citizens. Hold on, perhaps not.
Ann Ward, acting director of the school, said, “If the students take the drink outside the school, then it would pose a problem for their parents.”
Is Red Bull bringing down society?
Another energy drink, named Kick, is banned in 630 UK schools. I used to drink Kick on a daily basis when I was working in a bar. I don’t think it had too much of an adverse affect, other than keeping me awake.
This year, a 15-year-old boy was hospitalized after drinking eight cans of Red Bull.
When I was at school, a vodka Red Bull was the greatest thing on earth. When people started realizing that Lucozade made your fingers sticky, Red Bull found its way into nightclubs and became the drink of chose for many a loved-up partygoer. Those were the days.
This was all reported by the BBC.

Could it be that children react more extreme to caffeine? Those drinks sure not affect me in any way.

I start shaking when I drink a cup of coffee now.
