Tempo Semanal's Why Timor Telecom Sux?! Facebook group has about 200 members. My problem with Timor Telecom is that reception is often bad, SMS messages regularly bounce and calls are expensive, which is problematic for me as I have to spend a lot of time on the phone during the day.
There's certainly a lot of heat on Timor Telecom from some corners, but I don't think some people really think through the comments they leave on the Facebook page.
well guys,i agree with u guys we must kick those portugese out of our country. we kick all this idiots out long ago cause they could not run our country.. now we have them back 2 do the same shit again,we do not need any of them

Aside from those slightly barmy comments, the general consensus is that people want cheaper calls, better coverage and newer technology. If Timor Telecom could meet those demands then I think people wouldn't have a problem with there being a single operator in the nation. For the record, SMS messages cost 10 cents, or 20 to other countries in the region. I'm unsure about call costs.
