The shooting at Victory Monument
I took this not-particularly-exciting shot on Thursday after a man got shot next to the block of apartments in which I live. Mama, my landlady, said that two men on a motorbike had driven down the soi, shot the man several times, and then made off on the bike. The man was hurt, but not severely. Everyone was a little shaken up. The pictures I took didn’t come out as well as I would have hoped.
It was a little surprising to have something like this happen on my doorstep. Nobody recognized the man who was shot, and nobody, including the police, was sure why he had been attacked. I didn’t see any mention of this in the news, so I assume that it’s no big deal. Just another day in the City of Angels.
