So I'm a would-be winner

I took Andrew’s advice and went to put a tenner on Comply or Die to win the Grand National yesterday. I tried to open an account with Ladbrokes, but then realised I already had one. So I went to deposit some money into my account via PayPal only to find out that Ladbrokes can’t accept payments of any kind from IP addresses based in Thailand.

Damn anti-gambling laws scuppered my chance of raking it in with 10/1 odds.

Yes, always nice when you can't do something because someone else thinks you should not.

At this moment we have a government with a christian-fundamental party in it. They know want to ban shops that are open on sunday, because on sunday you should rest and go to church.

And gambling through the internet is here forbidden too. Execpt for gambling with the state-hold organisation ofcourse, that is not a single problem.

    Hypocrits.

Thanks Matt, and I am sorry you weren't able to take advantage of my tip. In the end I called my brother in the UK and asked him to stick a fiver on for me. Even though it won I really don't know if I will remember to get the money from him when I am next in the UK – whenever that will be.
