  1. This blog comes before midnight ;-) I watched the closing Uni games on TV but didn't see international DJ show. The Thammasat U was closed for weeks so my brother was happy staying at home playing with dog … News said about floods in Phuket. When you gonna go home ? enough BKK ;-)

  2. Yes, this type of thing happens to me all the time in my job here in Thailand. You we're lucky as usually for me its the other way around and I am suddenly thrown in front of a big audience to make a presentation with no preparation or indication beforehand.

The changes to your blog sound good Matt and I will look forward to reading more stories like the above in future. I could never be sure but, from your writing its not hard to see the posts that are not derived from your own ideas. I agree as well with the other posters who say you have every right to make money where you can in this blog. For the revenue you can generate Adsense is a bit of a sell out so its good thats gone. I hope you will continue to focus on your personal experiences of living in this culture and I am sure in the future more people will approach you to sponsor posts that you and your readers will enjoy you writing about.

I was one of your readers who questioned the content and reaction to the recent blog. I hope you will take it as constructive criticism as I think overall your blog is the best in Thailand. I think the phrase "you can't please all of the people all of the time" sums it up.

    Keep up the good work.

  3. Thanks for the criticism. It's good to hear. All the posts on this blog are from my own ideas, except the one about backpacks and one about the Pay Per Post service. Everything else, if it looks sponsored, is likely tailored for SEO purposes. I will do less of this writing, but it's one of the ways I've built traffic up on this blog and sometimes it's necessary. I try and make this blog as search-engine friendly as possible.

Anyway, content will come first from this point onwards. I want to build up my readership to 1,000 unique hits a day. In the past I've come close to this figure but it's trailed off recently.
