Club Soma and the Kitty-mobile
Last night was Club Soma’s debut party at Jazzit, RCA. They did really well and evidently put a lot of effort into the night. They seemed pretty chuffed at how it went, and with good reason. It was the sort of party that could restore my faith in the barrage of events that seem to come and go; some of them are great, some of them suck. It was refreshing to see that Soma didn’t slap a pretentious 200 baht cover charge on their party. Good stuff. The 8 Bit Rockers event by Supersub was also fun, with some of the weirdest music I have ever heard. Interesting.
I danced a lot and got home pretty late. The most exciting part of the whole evening, however, occurred before I even got to RCA. Gabe and I were privileged enough to be given a ride in the Kitty-mobile.

When Gnarly Kitty pulled up in that to drive us from The Conrad hotel to J Avenue and then on to RCA, I was speechless. OK, so it didn’t look exactly like that, but that’s pretty damn close. I never realized that there were so many Hello Kitty car accessories out there. Kitty’s driving was a little straighter than Bua’s, but after finding out about how she got her license, I was a bit frightened. Good parking though.

I wish my car looked like that though :D
