The people from PETA are barmy

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has launched a campaign to have fish renamed "sea kittens". I don't mean a breed of fish — I mean all fish. As in, according to the logic of PETA, people should say, "Let's have sea kittens and chips for dinner". When I was told about this yesterday I thought it sounded like a joke, but it is apparently part of a PETA campaign, which I think should just about destroy whatever shred of credibility those guys have left.

Changing the image of fish should evidently be a top priority for all of us. The link is here. It's actually frightening. I can't work out whether PETA is supposed to be an organization that aims to speak to children. A sea kitten would be a fantastic name for a creature in a children's book, but I can't help feeling that PETA is messing with us. Bizarre.

The website looks like it was created my someone who is mentally ill. Every campaign PETA organizes is more and more crazy.
