The People's Alliance for Despair
This is democracy:
The PAD has set up a rally site in front of Hat Yai railway station to rouse the crowds beginning today, Saroj said. Buses are ready for the 24-hour, non-stop departures to transport the protesters from today to Sunday.
The PAD has declared a showdown to bring about the collapse of the government and the House. (Nation)
What I've been hearing is that there has been a call to arms to oust the government. This is getting close to being a coup, but if it gets to that stage, it sure as hell isn't going to peaceful. The news reports from Bangkok are starting to sound more like they are coming from the Deep South.
Grenade attacks? This has unraveled before our eyes. From the coup to the new governments, from the string of prime ministers to Thaksin's global roadshow: it's the most bizarre chain of events I've ever seen.
I will get to see some of the madness for myself in a couple of weeks. No doubt nothing will have been resolved.

[...] Many Thais are already aware of PAD’s plans last weekend. There are even rumors of coups and arming of civilians. [...]
