They are lovely

November 29th, 2008 by The Lost Boy

If you somehow managed to make your way to Suvarnabumi airport today, instead of seeing the list of (cancelled) scheduled flights, you’d see a sign that says:

“We are the most lovely protesters. Being bombed, shot, injured and killed we still sit here to protest peacefully to oust corruption government.”

So as long as they’re lovely than I guess it’s OK that they’ve taken over the airport. These guys are just chilling out. It’s like some kind of eerie music festival. There are families playing badminton in front of the check-in desks.

They are in fact so lovely that they reportedly threw water at and tried to punch a plainclothes policewoman.

I couldn't agree more mate. The media have made them out to be thugs when all they are are people who are willing to stand up for their beliefs.

I'm hating both sides right now…

Sondhi and his crew should be in jail for the way they've whipped people up into a frenzy against the govt while offering only bleak alternatives.

A lot of nice people have been caught up in it; and may sadly pay for it with their lives if things don't settle down.

Fed up with PAD! Blocking the airport is the last straw!

    They're going to ruin Thailand!

    It could be Mumbai…
I guess it is all relative and depending on one having to fly or not from or to BKK, if Darfur Refugees where to take on Karthoum airport….
