Timor-Leste's first drag race
This went out over the ETAN mailing list, but I haven't seen it posted anywhere else. I really wish I was going to be in Dili to see it.
To commemorate the Falintil and Referendum Days — 20th and 30th August 2011 — The Timorese Auto Club will organize an event of DRAG RACE (Car) for the first time in Timor Leste.
When: 27-28th August 2011
Time: 09:00hrs – 17:00hrsWhere: The road in front of PNTL HQ towards Ministry of Justice office in Caicoli
Registration:
The registration for participation in the race is open from now until the 24th August 2011, at 17:00hrs. The registration point is located next to PNTL HQ. Registration fee is $50.00.
Requirements:
- Valid Driving License
- Photo color (3×4) size 1 pcs (driver and co-driver)
Classifications:
- Class I 1000cc – 1500cc
- Class II 2000cc – 2600cc
- Class III 3000cc – FFA (Free for All)
